I will judge my thoughts and intentions by the Word of God, before I say anything to anyone about God's word, in the light of Mark 12: 30-31. In loving service to the Master, serving His people in love, by the example and pattern of Christ according to John 13: 14-15.
These days are dark and getting darker to anyone who believes the prophesies concerning the coming of the end of this age. Obedient believers have nothing to fear. But to be silent and not speak about the salvation of God to the lost who will perish, is a direct disobedience to 'the Great Commision'.
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to oberve all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world" (Mat. 28: 19-20).
They may have "heard it all before", but who can know whether or not the Holy Spirit will turn a heart toward the Lord, by one who knows the truth, speaking with the love of Christ?
My heart was hot within me, while I was meditating the fire burned: then spake I with my tongue (Ps.39:3).
The Prophet Jeremiah tried not to speak to the people of Israel in the days his nation was being beseiged by the armies of Nebuchadrezzar. The people wanted to hear only that the Lord would save them. When in fact this was the time of being carried away captive as judgment for disobedience toward God (Jer.19: 15). The people who Jeremiah prophesied to, treated him with derision, causing great harm and shame.
Then said I, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay (Jer. 20: 9).
"I could not stay", he couldn't be silent about what God had given him to say any longer.
